Monastery of the Repose of the Virgin Mary at Makrino

The Monastery for the Repose of the Virgin Mary at Makrino (1792), with the magnificent murals by the hagiographers Ioannis and his son Anastasios. In an inscription we read: « This holy and most venerable church that is dedicated to the Repose of our Most Holy Lady the Virgin Mary was decorated... by the hand of me the humble Ioannis and his son Anastasios from Kapesovo / 4th November 1792»
