The Monastery for the Repose of the Virgin Mary at Chrysobitsa

The Monastery for the Repose of the Virgin Mary at Chrysobitsa (1781) is presently a parish church. In an inscription that has been preserved by Ch. Soulis we read: « This holy and most venerable church that is dedicated to our Most Holy Lady the Virgin Mary was decorated in 1781 on June 29th...by the hand of Ioannis and Georgios Priest the full brothers from Kapesovo under the supervision of Kyriakos Stoikos both for the throne and the pulpit with the Holy Entrance for the serving priests ».
