ARCHEOLOGICAL SITES:
The intense relief of the Katsanohoria area and its special climatic conditions may create the impression that the area is hostile to human settlement. Nevertheless, the area was inhabited in early times. It is witnessed by surface finds from the bronze age, ruined acropoles and hellenistic fortresses. The areas of archeological interest are not organised sites and are located at isolated, wooded, and usually difficult to reach locations.

- Archeological site at Kalentzi with a wall and buildings of the Hellenistic period.

- At Kakolangado Plaision a drainage ditch and a tomb stone were found which are located at the Ioannina Archeological Museum.

- At Platanousa a sculpted boxshaped grave was found.
