- A Sarkatsani sheep pen in Gyftocampos:
In a fenced 16 decare expanse there is a reconstruction of a community of nomad cattle raisers, the Sarakatsani, with a small dwelling, the sheep pen, the kiosk, the loom, the fountains, the cheesery and the warehouses. This is open from May to October in Gyftocampos (1600 m) after Skamneli. The Sarakatsani of Epirus meet on the first Sunday on August each year at this magical location. The feast goes on for three days. The ritual contains strong elements of a community of cattle raisers that was secluded until recently but which experts believe has lived here since Neolithic times.
