The icon of Aghios Georgios the Neomartyr

The icon of Aghios Georgios the Neomartyr that suffered at Ioannina. This work may also be considered to be a prosopography by the Chionades painter Zekos Michael that was painted only thirteen days after the torturous death by the young Epirot groom, further to a commission from the reverend monk Chrysanthos Lainas. In that year (1892) we encounter at Aghia Marina in Ioannina murals by Chionades hagiographers Christodoulos, Thomas, Socrates and Nikolaos.

Church for the Repose of the Virgin Mary at Pades in Konitsa

The church for the Repose of the Virgin Mary at Pades in Konitsa, where an ornate ceiling has been constructed by Chionades craftsmen (1823), on which there is also an inscription relating to the origin of the craftsmen, whilst the hagiography and the decoration were also carried out by their fellow village painters.
